Game Developers Conference and ngmoco give away $30,000 in prizes to iPhone games developers (Exclusive to iPhoneWorld.ca)

Did you know that Game Developers Conference and games publisher ngmoco are giving away $30,000 worth of prizes to iPhone games developers? Well, it's true, so indie games developers should read the following carefully.

$10,000 cash prize to go along with "Best iPhone Game" award, as well as $20,000 in other prizes will be given away to winners of 2009's Independent Games Festival Mobile, a competition for indie games developers.

While the $10,000 prize is meant especially for iPhone games developers, the other $20,000 in prizes are meant for developers of games for all mobile platforms. But, of course, iPhone games developers are also able to compete for them. The awards will be given for game design, art, technical and audio achievements.

Entry into Independent Games Festival Mobile 2009 is free, and "Best iPhone Game" finalists will be invited to present their games at the expo floor of Game Developers Conference 2009, which will take place in San Francisco from March 23th-27th, 2009, free of charge, while the winners will get an additional spotlight at main Independent Games Festival Awards event.
